Sisu Pathways is a welcoming space for all caregivers, including mothers, fathers, grandparents, and anyone walking alongside a child. It’s a place to connect and feel supported as we navigate the joys and challenges of raising little humans together.
We often hear that it takes a village to raise a child, and while that’s true, it also takes a village to raise a parent.
The word 'Sisu' doesn’t have a direct English translation. It embodies the Finnish spirit of determination, resilience, and courage, not fleeting moments of strength, but endurance that carries us through all of life’s challenges. This is why Sisu perfectly reflects our mission: parenting is beautiful, but it also tests us, challenges us, and calls on a strength that lasts.
Our mission is simple: to support our community, help caregivers find their inner Sisu, and nurture mental health, wellbeing, and connections.
Sisu Pathways is a space where families can feel seen, supported, and truly belong.
We currently offer free community walks, as well as programs such as Circle of Security, designed to foster secure attachments and strengthen parent-child bonds.
We can’t wait to walk alongside you on this journey.

Please reach us at sisupathways@outlook.com or on socials if you cannot find an answer to your question.
All caregivers including mothers, fathers, grandparents are welcome to join. Anyone who is on this wild parenting adventure is more than welcome.
Generally, if it is lightly raining we go ahead and power on with rain jackets and umbrellas. There is no obligation to join us in rainy or cold weather but as your walking guide, I will strive to always be there. In heavy rain, storms and extreme weather events we will postpone, however you can check our socials for live updates.
Absolutely not! The purpose of this community is to connect caregivers in a shared and inclusive space that doesn't put a financial strain on finding your village!
We ask that you please do not bring pets for the safety of others joining us on the walk.
I will be there 10 minutes before and we will begin the walk at 8:45am - this allows 10-15 minutes for any late arrivals. Please feel free to join us on route if you are running behind, or shoot me a text or message on socials to let me know.
Children of ALL ages are welcome! We run through school holidays, so your older children can join us during their school break as well.
Yes, registration and full payment is required before the program commences.
Please see our T&C's for further information regarding cancellations and refunds.
All caregivers are welcome to attend. We highly encourage that, when possible, multiple caregivers from the same family participate together, as this can enhance learning and strengthen connections with your child.
The Circle of Security Program is designed to support caregivers in understanding secure attachment and our children's behaviour, using concepts around connection, attachment and better discovering ourselves as caregivers.

For further details on the program's 8 week (or 5 week accelerated program) please reach out via email.
Session details, including whether children can attend, may vary depending on the program location and schedule. Childminding services may be available. Ideally, caregivers attend without their children so they can fully engage with the material. Babies in arms (pre-crawling) are welcome to join, but please note that the program is designed to give caregivers uninterrupted space to connect with the course content.
It is important to note that attendance at all sessions is recommended to fully benefit from the program's content and learning. However, if you miss sessions, catching up is a viable option to ensure you receive the full benefit of the program and your certificate of completion.
Catch-up session options will be made available or alternatively, options to Zoom into your session if you cannot attend in person.
No more than two sessions can be missed, and you must attend the catch-up session for both missed sessions.
At this time, there are no discounts, subsidies, or payment plans available. If you have questions or specific circumstances, please reach out via email and we’ll do our best to assist you.
The program is run by Tayla. I bring over 8 years of experience in early childhood education, am a certified Circle of Security Practitioner, and am currently studying counselling. My goal is to provide a supportive, welcoming environment where caregivers can build confidence, strengthen connections, and nurture their children’s wellbeing.

Hi, I’m Tayla, founder of Sisu Pathways and your guide to connection and growth.
While you can read about our mission above, I’d love to share a little about myself. I feel most alive in nature, hiking and chasing waterfalls with my two little ones. I also enjoy running, camping, reading, travelling and as a busy mum of two, I’ve learned to truly appreciate a relaxing spa day.
Professionally, I’m studying counselling and am a certified Circle of Security Practitioner for both caregivers and families as well as educators, teachers and allied health professionals. I’m deeply passionate about child development and wellbeing, maternal mental health, and creating supportive spaces where families can grow, connect, and thrive.
